Concerns over broadcasting of Bangladesh-West Indies series.

Bangladesh fans are less likely to watch the Tigers' cricket series against the West Indies. Because so far no TV channel in the country has got the rights to broadcast this series.
Originally the host board sold the broadcasting rights and this was done through a third party called Total Sports Marketing (TSM) in the West Indies. So far, however, no local TV channel has bought broadcasting rights from TSM.
As the broadcasting rights are in the hands of a third party, the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has not officially said anything here, said Tanvir Ahmed Titu, chairman of the BCB's media committee.
"Actually, when we go to play a series outside the country, it all depends on the boards of that country and their broadcasters," Titu said.
He added, "The BCB has no control here. We can only request the relevant board to broadcast the match in our country. So we don't have to do anything officially. "
Titu hopes that any local TV channel will make arrangements for the fans to watch the game.
"I hope the channels we have, who are involved in match broadcasting, will somehow come up with a solution for us," he said.
T-Sports broadcasts various sports from different countries including Bangladesh. An official of the channel said that this time the chances of showing the game in T-Sports are slim.
Besides, Gazi Television broadcasts Bangladeshi games. This time they are not interested in showing the game. However, if no one shows up, Gazi Television can come forward at the last minute, said one of their officials.
The series between Bangladesh and Australia at home last year was not watched by Bangladeshi spectators outside the country.
This could happen again. As a result, viewers from any country other than the West Indies will not be able to watch the game on TV.
Bangladesh are playing a three-day warm-up match against the President's XI ahead of a two-match Test series against the West Indies. The first Test of the series will start on June 15 in Antigua. The second and final Test of the series will start on June 24 in St. Lucia. After that, Bangladesh will play three-match ODI and T20 series.
The two matches of the Test series will be played on June 18 and 24. Tests are part of the ICC Test Championship. Then the T20 series will start on July 2. The remaining two matches of the three-match T20 series will be played on July 3 and 6. Bangladesh will play three ODIs on July 10, 13 and 16.
