On July 4th, he was invited to join. The Finance Secretary, Abdur Rauf Talukder, is currently employed. Fazle Kabir, the present governor, will be replaced by him. Fazle Kabir's six-year term will conclude on July 3 after two stages of service.

Abdur Rauf Talukder, a BCS 1985 batch officer, joined the government service as a Secretariat cadre officer. About 20 years ago, this cadre was disbanded and integrated with the administrative cadre. He served as the Deputy Registrar of the Ministry of Industries' Department of Patents, Designs, and Trademarks, as well as First Secretary of the Bangladesh Embassy in Malaysia, Assistant Secretary of the Ministry of Food and Information, Joint Secretary, and Additional Secretary of the Ministry of Finance. He is scheduled to leave the administration in August 2023.
