Bangladesh Navy has released a recruitment notification for the post of Sailors and MODC (Navy) in 2023 batch. According to the notification, the Navy will recruit for the posts of DE or UC (Seaman, Communication and Technical), Medical, Patrolman, Writer, Store, MODC, Cook, Steward (Navy) and Topas. Online application has already started. Applications are accepted until September 5.



Educational qualification of the applicant

To apply for the post of DE or UC (Seaman, Communication and Technical) must pass SSC or equivalent examination from Science Department with minimum GPA-3.50. However, preference will be given to candidates with superior mathematics in SSC examination and minimum 'A' grade from BN Dockyard Cooperative Society Technical Institute.



 For applying for medical posts, SSC with Biology or equivalent examination must be passed from Science Department with minimum GPA-3.50. SSC pass with minimum GPA-3.00 from any department for the posts of Patrolman, Writer, Store and MODC (Navy). Cook and Steward positions require an SSC pass with a minimum GPA of 2.50 from any department, and Topas positions require an 8th class pass.



Physical fitness.

Candidate height should be at least 5 feet 6 inches for Seaman and MODC (Navy) posts, 5 feet 8 inches for Patrolman posts and 5 feet 4 inches for other posts. In addition to height for each post applicant's chest size should be 30 to 32 inches in normal condition and 2 inches more in expanded condition. Weight should be according to height and age and eye sight should be 6/6.



Other Qualifications.

Interested candidates should be Bangladeshi male citizen and unmarried. Apart from this, the candidate must know swimming. Age should be between 17-20 years as on 1 January 2023 for the post of seaman. Age 17 to 22 years for MODC (Navy) post.



disqualification

According to the laws prevailing in Bangladesh or any other country, no one can apply if he has been arrested, convicted, imprisoned, detained or accused in any case and is under trial in the court. Apart from this, those who have been removed or expelled from the armed forces or government service and have dual citizenship cannot apply.

After verification click on apply now option. Then the candidate has to deposit the exam fee through banking or mobile banking. 200 Tk should be deposited through credit or debit card of any bank and mobile banking (Bikash, Cash, Rocket, T-Cash, SureCash, MCash, MyCash, OneCash, EasyCash, QCash) etc. After depositing the money, fill the online application form with correct information. After verifying the information click on the 'Submit' button and download and print the 'Navik 1' form. The form should be brought with you on the day of examination.



Selection process

Online applicants have to appear at the designated center for their district with all the certificates, necessary documents and application forms. If all the documents of the candidate are found correct then he will be selected first. Initially selected candidates will undergo written test on English, Bengali, Mathematics, Science and General Knowledge and Intelligence subjects. Candidates who pass these tests will be admitted as sailors if they pass the final health test and oral test.
