Bangladesh Small and Cottage Industries Corporation (BSIC) under the control of the Ministry of Industry has published a new circular by partially amending the recruitment circular by increasing the number of posts. According to the new notification, 151 workers will be recruited in this institution from sixth to 20th grade. 66 vacant posts were given in the previous notification.
Arif Hossain, personnel officer of Bangladesh Small and Cottage Industries Corporation told Prothom Alo, "When the clearance came from the ministry, many retired and many went to other jobs. Apart from this, some officers have gone on post-retirement leave. This has increased our number of vacancies. Therefore, a new notification has been given increasing the number of posts.
The posts in which the number of vacancies has increased are – Extension Officer, Promotion Officer, Senior Designer, Technical Officer and Clerical/Computer Numerical Posts.
According to the new notification, 37 people will be appointed as extension officers and 24 people will be appointed as promotion officers. At least second class master degree or second class B.Sc engineering degree from a recognized university can be applied. The pay scale of these two posts is Tk 22,000-53,060 (Grade-9).
The vacant post of Programmer is one. Computer Science/Computer Science & Engineering/Electrical & Electronics Engineering/Information & Communication Technology – Four years Bachelors Degree or equivalent with CGPA with second class or equivalent in relevant subject and Senior Computer Operator/Assistant Programmer in a Government/Autonomous – Semi Autonomous/Statutory Institution /Can apply if minimum four years work experience as Assistant Maintenance Engineer. Pay Scale of this post: Tk 35,500-67,010 (Grade-6).
One post of Budget Officer and Audit Officer will be taken. Applicants must possess at least second class Master's Degree in Accountancy/Banking/Finance/Business Administration/Economics/Statistics. Pay Scale Rs.22,000-53,060 (Grade-9).
Three people will be appointed as senior designers. At least second class bachelor degree in Fine Arts can apply. Pay Scale Rs.22,000-53,060 (Grade-9).
One each will be taken as Assistant Maintenance Engineer and Assistant Programmer. Applicants should possess Bachelor's (Honours) or equivalent degree in Computer Science/Computer Science & Engineering/Electrical & Electronics Engineering/Information & Communication Technology – related subject with second class or equivalent CGP. Pay Scale Rs.22,000-53,060 (Grade-9).
24 new posts of technical officers. Interested candidates must have passed Diploma in Engineering from a recognized educational institution. Pay Scale: Tk 16,000-38,640 (Grade-10).
There are two vacancies for Naxavid. Candidates can apply if they have at least second class graduation degree in the relevant field. Pay Scale Rs.12,500-30,230 (Grade-11).
There are three vacant posts of Computer Operator. Bachelor's (Honours) or equivalent degree in Science Department and speed of 25 words per minute in Bengali and 30 words per minute in English can be applied. Pay Scale Rs.11,000-26,590 (Grade-13).
One each will be recruited for the post of cashier and draftsman. Candidates with at least Bachelor's Degree in Commerce can apply for the post of Cashier. For the post of Draftsman, Diploma in Engineering is required. Pay Scale Rs.10,200-24,680 (Grade-14).
In the new notification, the posts of clerks and computer numismatists have been increased to 46. HSC pass and speed of 30 words per minute in English and 20 words per minute in Bengali can be applied. Pay Scale Rs.9,300-22,490 (Grade-16).
One each will be recruited for the post of head cook, field staff and technical helper. The minimum qualification to apply for these posts is 8th class pass. Pay Scale: Rs.8,800-21,310 (Grade-18).
